Sensory integration in mental health 

This two-hour course will provide an introduction to the role of sensory processing and integration in the experience of mental health conditions, and how the sensory qualities in different environments can impact on functional abilities and wellbeing. The course can be delivered either virtually or face to face dependent on need. Costs vary dependent on number of participants and training location. This course will cover the following:

  • The connection between arousal levels and well-being
  • An introduction to the eight senses
  • Reframing difficulties from a sensory perspective
  • Sensory informed engagement with service users

MOHO training

The Model of Human Occupation and MOHO based assessments training

We offer high-quality training in the theory and application of the Model of Human Occupation (MOHO), specifically designed for your service. Our training programmes are designed for occupational therapists and support staff, ensuring that participants gain a thorough understanding of MOHO principles and how to apply them effectively in practice.

Our bespoke training can include comprehensive instruction on all MOHO-based assessments, including the Model of Human Occupation Screening Tool (MOHOST), Occupational Circumstances Assessment Interview and Rating Scale (OCAIRS), and the Model of Human Occupation Exploratory Level Outcome Ratings (MOHO-ExpLOR).

Additionally, we provide specialised training on MOHO-based occupational formulation, helping therapists to construct comprehensive, client-centred formulations. We also offer training on specific interventions, such as the Remotivation Process, which empowers therapists to engage clients in meaningful activities.
