What does this course cover?
You will consider how sensory processing differences may be apparent in different conditions; the relationship between sensory processing and arousal levels; and how the sensory qualities in different environments can impact on functional abilities and wellbeing.

Who should take this course?
This course is suited to anyone working in a mental health setting who would like to develop their knowledge of sensory processing and strategies to support their clients. No prior knowledge of sensory integration is required.
outcomes
What will you get out of it?
Through reflection on the evidence-base, case studies and practice scenarios attendees will be supported to develop a sensory lens for practice informing therapeutic environments and strategies. You will learn how to reframe the challenges encountered by your client group in order to enhance positive engagement and therapeutic interactions. Through reflecting on your own work setting and client group you will develop practical therapeutic strategies for practice.
This course can be delivered online or in person – cost varies dependent on number of participants. For in person courses more than 15 miles from CH7 there will be an additional charge for time and travel.
